“I have never run a business before, I mean I’m just an assistant even with Miss Musa, but I would be so hyped to hear it. I am just not sure what feedback I could give,” she offered after looking at Zara and then back to Galatea giving her her full focus.

Galatea smiled warmly

''Well you can at least tell me if it sounds good, yes?''

If allowed she would begin by explaining her modeling agency more as a cooperative then a typical agency where models are ultimately in control and those who age out or retire can be offered positions to help mentor, assist and protect younger girls. At this point the topic would shift to the ONG and you could how the two entities could work together

That was something Galatea actually cared for as well. If Ynez was a decent person despite her ties to pantheon she might be swayed

"Ah, well. I have had the pleasure of meeting Zara. I think I have mentioned her to you once before, Bea, though under a different name, and in a different context. Al-'aalam sagheer."

Bea looked at him curiously. He hadn't mentioned very many people to her. She could not translate his words. Who had he mentioned? A contact who could arrange a meeting with the Brass Orchid. Hmmm... A warlord on a yacht behind the apartment fires. Surely not!

And then her introspective chain of thought was interrupted by the arrival of a costume that had to be stared at!

Raul swept into the party with his cape a new trick he learnt how to do over the past few months. , the black cape of his Zorro costume billowing behind him as if caught in a heroic wind (Throw a few metal strips on a cape and control the metal's movement gently). His mask clung snugly to his face, framing a cocky grin that could melt concrete. A gleaming prop rapier hung at his hip, and he made a show of tapping it against his boot as he sauntered through the crowd of the party.

Zorro! The vaquero! The dashing master horseman and sword fighter!

And ... was that Raul?

"Raul! You look so dashing!"

“You have the golden touch,” she said. “You can do anything you put your mind to, that’s really admirable, like a boss babe. You kind of just have it all,” she said.

She gracefully pulled out her vibrating phone and said, “Excuse me, work calls. I forget tonight is all business. Thanks for sharing that with me. It is so amazing, see it through.”

She departed unless stopped.

''Let's keep in touch dear'' Galatea replied as Ynez left, tracking her with her gaze

Seeing his interlocutor had been pulled away by Raul's magnetism (and really, who could blame her?), Malik tore his eyes away and moved off in the direction of Thousand Miles.

"Miles," he acknowledged his acquaintance with a nod. "You move in interesting company."

Iris meanwhile had hit the bar and was scrunching up a straw to see if she could get it through her mask.

She waved personably at the folks she recognised but didn't butt in on anyone who was enjoying the evening.

"Hola, señorita." He takes off his hat does a sweeping bow, his voice heavily favoring the Spanish side, rather than his more American accent that he normally speaks. "You look quite lovely this evening. Yes, I decided to go big on the design this evening. Plus, my suit doesn't work well with a cape, so how can I say no to the chance to wearing one? Classic hero look."

She smiled at him.

"Why thank you. It is a night for heroes and kings."

She gestured to the man standing beside her, in a matching costume. "Counselor, this is my friend Raul from Elite Academy."

"Raul, this is Second Counselor Dawit Hakim, advisor to the President of the Central Africa area of the LDS church. Tonight, he is also King Solomon to my Queen Makeda. He is here to learn more about the Malay Benefit activities and how we might support the people of southeastern Asia."

The young man with her gave Raul a formal bow. "Greetings, Raul. My role is but to coordinate with my counterpart for the Asia area. And to see those in need given access to food, to clean water, and other services that we prioritize. It is good to hear what actions the Malay Beneficiary Group representative, Zara Musa, believes are most needed. And - always - is there an opportunity for Africa to help. The resources and knowledge and experience unique to our region here."

Arturo arrived late and looked around, taking it all in.

My full respect to those who offer aid a la gente en necesidad., to those in need. Hopefully this will be a rewarding evening for you and those you wish to help." Raul kept the smile up as he looked over at the party, his gaze catching upon Ynez about to leave the room before returning his gaze over at the others. "I do not doubt Bea could help you coordinate that; she is quite the talented woman."

Ynez joined Miss Musa with the business people and were discussing some of the auctions, they laughed and seemed very amenable to whatever was being discussed. A few minutes of discussion and then the group went out to a balcony area while Ynez remained behind and then made her approach towards Guass.

Once within comfortable speaking distance she said in Spanish, “That is a rather handsome costume, it looks familiar. Is it a dashing hero?”

Elsewhere at the Ball

Ayesha was comfortably late, dressed in a business suit with a masquerade mask. She was not terribly enthused for the evening, but it was a good cause and since many of the well to do business folks were here, might as well at least be seen.

The number of elites did not go unnoticed by her.

Behind Ayesha was a slightly taller woman, older it seemed dressed as a Harlequin. She moved with a predatory grace as she whispered something to the younger woman and the two shared a laugh before they moved to the open bar to have a drink and observe the room.


The cyborg stood aside and watched, minus their kickass weapons.

Arturo arrived late and looked around, taking it all in.

Hanh was nervous, this was way above her pay grade, but it was also really nice and everyone was so glamorous. She wore something showing her Vietnamese roots, more traditional clothing that costume but she figured it was close enough.

Arturo gave Hanh a warm smile. "You look amazing. Thank you for coming."

[Dapper Dog]

She whispered back and said quietly, “I feel under dressed, honestly. I mean I love this outfit but wow. And you look great and is that Tsehay Moqe? Wow… are you sure I am allowed in here?”

[Thousand Miles]

"Miles," he acknowledged his acquaintance with a nod. "You move in interesting company."

"Hiya Uriel," Miles said as he collected his drink. "Just reconnecting with an old friend. It's a small world...apparently. How's your evening going?"

"Definitely." he assured her. "What I am wearing isn't much different, traditional Filipino formal wear, with a little extra color."
