[Day 6 - MN] Party like a Barista

This section of town was a common refuge for immigrants from the Chinese-American war, now populated with many East Asian ethnicity enclaves; named for the Buddha statue built near the center of the district.

Galatea was not sure killing those zombies was a good idea but she could not stop it. The civilians would be the top priority for the moment: evacuate or defend. Giant Galatea took a few strides towards the emergency exit to guard it against the zombie so people could be evacuated.

She readied herself to swat aside the coming horde.

move, ready action

Extra effort for power stunt: Her attacks can now be area attacks in a 30 ft radius, Dogde DC 14, Thoughness save 27 if failed, 21 if saved
(transferts points from leap to area smash)
OOC: Need a Toughness check DC 21 and a Strength check DC 16 from the zombies for Galatea from previous round.

Cowgirl reloaded her revolver and then turned to galatea and fire as quickly as possible in rapid succession, quick draw style. Before spinning her weapon and said, “You’re welcome, partner.”

Three of the zombies were unmoving, headshots all around.

Necro-Dancer was confused as this wasn’t where they were seconds ago, but she had her hated foes the Young Revengers right where she wanted them. They had ruined her chance to be the Prom Queen and now she was going to ruin their reputations as earth’s youngest heroes once and for all!

So she started her necrotic dance moves, because when the Necro-Dancer dances the world dances and dies with her!

Image

OOC: Burst from her position out to 100 feet, Selective, every enemy must make a Will save at DC 17 or be Compelled to dance, also a DC 17 Fortitude save, failure means making a Toughness check at DC 20 versus necrotic damage eating at their flesh this is not a physical attack. Skill check made and ability is successful.

A Lich named Bonespike floated among the dead his form becoming ghostly and see through. He sneered and said, “Is a Lich Named Bonespike gonna have to slap a Bi-”

A zombie groaned at the right moment.

He raised his staff and shot a lance of necrotic energy towards Kid Thor! Kid Thor weathered the magical assault shielding himself from the worst of the damage.

OOC: Necro-Dancer Dance skill check | 1d20+13 ⇒ 21 but he saved. Kid Thor Toughness check DC 24 | 1d20+12 ⇒ 32 A Lich Named Bonespike is currently Insubstantial and immune to physical attacks, Rank 4.

From his place near the bar, Camilo watched as the group of ravers Bea had pointed out started to move in a more coordinated way, in a more choreographed way. He felt a strange compulsion to join them, but was barely able to resist. His body called to him, wanting him to dance. Soon, he would show them what it meant for the Bohemian to take to the dance floor.

Before he could take the stage though, he felt something off with his body. The antithesis of the life energies he used to help people was trying, with partial success, to erode his flesh.

Bee Haw was pure of heart and mind and body.

She clung to her will, so she could keep acting:
https://sakkaku.org/r/18243 30 vs 17; she is not compelled; she is not dancing

Still, the forces of horrible undead-ification began to take its toll. Oh no!
https://sakkaku.org/r/18244 13 vs 17; she failed the fortitude save. -1 Toughness.

Exactly the same result as her dimensional counterpart!

She *had* to help the others fight this. She was still in bee form. Still a swarm.

She moves so a few bees hover around each ally's head like a halo. The buzzing cut through the sound of the dance-compelling music. Each of her elite teammates and each young revenger felt a sense of cohesion, of orderly teamwork, productive rather than helpless or chaotic, bees in a hive rather than zombies, each performing their very best as if some holy power had infused them to turn back the tide of undead and undead-ification.

Bee your best! Bee free! Bee a hero!

(Bea spends her last heroic point and triggers Inspirex5 on all allies. They each get +5 on every roll for their next turn (resist rolls, break free rolls, action rolls, etc. as makes sense in turn order.)

Oh no! a Zombie grabbed her and tried to bite her; if only she'd thought to just move out of the way instead of standing around like everything was going to be fine! That said, everything turned out to be pretty fine, to be honest. The biting didn't even hurt. Or pierce skin. Which was probably a good thing with how zombie movies usually treated bites.

Then people started to dance, and for a moment she wondered if she should too, but decided against it because this zombie grabbing her was not really what she was looking for in a dance partner.

So instead she just decided to *look* at one of the apparant bad guys. But which one? Let's go with the one with the crazy eyes that had been pointed out; the necro dancer.

OOC:

toughness | 1d20+6 ⇒ 22
strength | 1d20 ⇒ 6 - grabbed by zombie
will save | 1d20+10 ⇒ 19 - not gonna dance
fortitude | 1d20+6 ⇒ 19
(not sure if these last two are active defense for purposes of vulnerable?)
strength against grapple with +5 bonus from beehaw | 1d20+5 ⇒ 18 - breaks free from grapple at end of turn

Stupid-fu!
Perception Ranged Damage 8, Indirect 4, Subtle 2, Variable Descriptor 1 (Weird Accidents), Alternate Effect 2,

DC 23 toughness check from Necro Dancer please; as some weird unlikely accident befalls her.

Necro-dancer was tearing up the dance floor but one of her backup zombie dancers missed their cue and was now off. This was super lame, because now they stood out, and this caused the other zombies to get real petty and groan fire invectives and curses at the bad dancing zombie. Which means one of them ignored the cord on the ground and which knocked over a cup on a table sending ice and booze flying onto another zombie momentarily blinding them, but they were blind anyways and they hit another zombie and that zombie fell over.

Unsightly.

Then suddenly rocks fell from somewhere… and smashed into Necro-Dancer knocking her nearly senseless.

Master Qianli was dancing, his moves were elegant and matched well with Necro-dancer unlike a certain terrible zombie. The necrotic energy had made him pale and sickly...

Wait he was here to stop the dancer and was able to break free of the dancing.

The Young Revengers work as a team inspired by the bees to keep the zombies at bay and have cleared a path for civilians to escape even as they are compared to dance, they dance fight well. The zombies resume their assault on the Elites and only Thousand Miles escapes any potential harm… the rest are hopefully tough enough to not get toothy love.

Meanwhile Xing-Shen and Frankie the Clown stop dancing.

OOC: The Zombies try to do their thing.

For Frankie Zombies versus Frankie | 1d20+10 ⇒ 25 Dc 21 Toughness check and Strength check DC 16 or be grabbed.

Galatea needs to make Toughness check at DC 21 as they maintain the hold for Free and standard action to inflict damage.

For Thousand Miles Zombies versus Thousand Miles | 1d20+10 ⇒ 22, they missed.

Camilo winced watching the beautiful choreographed dance the flash mob of ravers was managing to pull off suddenly fall apart with one bad apple in the bunch. The ones around him continued to claw and snap at him, but their bites had no power here.

Then a little bee came down and whispered sweet affirmations to Camilo. He could do this, he could be your hero. He could kiss away your pain. "And I will stand by you forever!" He belted out at the top of his longs, followed up by a whispered, "Just don't take my breath away." *shudder*

Zoned in, Camilo started his dance. A slow, sensual dance that matched the music in his head rather than the music on the dance floor. Fists and feet gracefully sailed through the air and firmly, but gently, struck down the ravers swarming him. As he pushed his energies into them, he felt that cloying necrotic energy fighting back and he began to get a feel for the nature of it, to understand it. Then, as he landed the bênção, the blessing, the two energies met just right and he pushed. His energies flooded out of him and across the club.
