A Lich Named Bonespike was not liking these odds and decided to launch a fireball of necrotic fire at the heroes that exploded as he sank into the floor as an ethereal ghost.

Camilo watched as the ball of dark necrotic flames launched from Bonespike in slow motion and realized it was going to envelop the bar where he last saw Frankie III and where others were taking shelter.

While he usually felt light on his feet, now it was like running through his dreams, all motion no progress. Unsure if he was going to make it, Camilo dove over the bar and covered those hiding behind it. The flames singed his bare back, but he endured.

OOC: Dankenstein is not doing anything else but covering her and not resisting. Out of combat unless you have a way to chase a person through the ground which might be possible.

[Thousand Miles]

Miles turned away from the fireball in time to avoid the worst of it, but still caught some of the force of the blast. He was dazed for a moment, then turned back to look at the spot the Lich Named Bonespike had sunk into the ground.

Frankie was used to fireballs or similar kind of dangers, and managed to dodge out of the way. She then proceeded to *look* again. Or well, *prepared* to look again, as she wasn't sure whether the threat remained.

Meanwhile Cowgirl knelt down and inspected the dead zombies with confusion. Could they have been saved? Could those others been saved? She turned back to Kid Thor and said, “I think we have our new friends here to thank, as well.”

She turned to the Elites and said, “Thanks, partners for stepping in.”
