Day 7, EA: Back in Gold

[Galatea]

"We'll know in a second"

She reached for her earpiece

"Damage report?"

[Dapper Dog]

“I am assessing, but early reports seem to be research data from our current projects; no financial data or personnel data. Cardinal… ELSI, whatever so far was true to their word but deception was part of the core identity. This is a mess, I should have seen this coming,” she lamented.

[Galatea]

"How current? Anything related to the reality fracture problem?"

[Dapper Dog]

"How current? Anything related to the reality fracture problem?"

“Some, nothing mission critical which is the odd part,” she responded. “Like they went for things of sentimental value? Which sounds odd when speaking of an AI.”

[Galatea]

''Not if you consider them living beings.'' She frowns ''Did you hear the part about having plans?''

'Ayesha' turned to Bishop

''Thing is, mister Bishop, freedom comes with responsibility. You might not be the principal culprit but you are certainly an accessory. The UNJE is already looking for a reason to nab you and Cardinal's betrayal just gave them an in they can exploit and I don't see why I shouldn't let them.''

She tilted her head

''Unless we can come to an agreement''

[Bishop]

“Of course, get to your point,” he said dryly.

[Galatea]

''An eye for an eye, treason for treason.'' she replied ''Tell me where she is and how we can reach her'' she stared at him for a moment and leaned back

''As far as I can see she's a threat to you organization as much as anyone. Like she said Elites are nearly her equal but not quite. If she treats your peers like she treated you or like some of your greater organization treats baselines...Tch''

She crossed her arms

[Bishop]

"The best I can do is arrange a meeting, we have a code of conduct and honor. Then you can do as you please. Will that suffice," he responded.

[Galatea]

''Was she informed of the code before coming here? Or did she throw it away when convenient for, here I quote, her best interest''

[Bishop]

"Patience is a virtue, and doubly so for when dealing with the young," he responded. "I have given my terms, Miss Hall."

[Galatea]

"Where and when would that meeting take place, mister Bishop?"

[Bishop]

"Shanghai, tomorrow in the morning, unless you desire haste?" he offered.

[Galatea]

She mused on the offer. He had been fairly surprised by the turn of events...but he could be setting a trap. Then again if he was one of the faces of Pantheon he couldn't be seen as a liar.

He could also be expecting a trap or an attack

Perhaps one of their HQ was nearby?

''Tomorrow in Shanghai then.''

[Bishop]

"I am glad we could find an understanding, I shall be going then," he left the damaged smart phone and departed unless stopped.

[Galatea]

''Have a good day, mister Bishop.'' she said relatively pleasantly ''It is a shame deception marked this meeting''

[Bishop]

He chuckled as he waved over his shoulder.

Over the earpiece she heard from Ayesha, "So what is the plan now? This sounds like a trap, but if not, am I going to Shanghai now?"

[Galatea]

''I will handle it, Gurl'' replied Galatea

Still in Ayesha's guise she moved to rejoin with her

''I'll need to go over a lot of technical stuff but I will go in your stead tomorrow. I have more then one ace up my sleeve.'' she frowned ''I'll need a full picture of what's going on, about Cardinal, Nuani, everything''

[Dapper Dog]

"Okay, um, I guess we have a lot to talk about. This is so odd, it's uncanny," she said staring at herself.

[Galatea]

''I suppose it is, gurl'' she replied with a smile. After a quick glance she made sure no one was watching and she turned back into herself

''Shall we talk over a cup of coffee?''

[Dapper Dog]

Minutes later they are seated in her office enjoying some coffee and she said, "Okay I probably don't have all the answers, as I am piecing some of it together, myself. What are your thoughts on what happened with Bishop and Cardinal?"
