[Thousand Miles]

At the appointed time, Thousand Miles teleported into the nondescript conference room with a *peng*. The press conference had gone a bit pear-shaped as the other Elites gave their side of the story, but Miles had said that he wanted to help, and he meant it.

This meeting, Miles suspected, would be about how he could do that.

[Paragon]

Paragon was seated at his desk and seated on on a sofa drinking some cola was Frankie. Paragon spoke, "Good, I am glad you could both make it on such short notice, obviously it's been a busy day."

[Thousand Miles]

"This sounded important," Miles said simply, in reply to Paragon.

"Hey Frankie," Miles said, acknowledging her with a smile. It was still hard for him to tell them apart, but considering the setting, he had a pretty good idea which Frankie this would be.

[Paragon]

“It is, and I have come to see that you are one of our best candidates in the Elite Academy program. Both of you have been active in the program, and despite some minor setbacks, I think both of you are going to be great assets for the UNJE moving forward.

“I want you both with the Elite Guard, but more importantly I want you both to be the face of the Elite Academy promotions, this will require touring and making appearances. I have contracts drafted up, for this six-month period you will be making a modest 115k a month, but once we officially announce the results this will triple to 345k a month plus additional perks.”

“I know both of you, are dedicated to the mission,” he said with a smile.

"Bruv, that is a generous offer, mate," Frankie said. "I'm in."

Miles' eyes lit up with enthusiasm. "I'll be the best spokesman ever!" he vowed. "You can count on me, Paragon. I'll do everything I can to support the mission."

“You’re performance has been admirable, and I could not have asked for a better role model or spokesperson for the project. You will each be assigned a personal assistant and a team of PR specialists to begin working on your brand and image.”

“With the loss of Lisa Singularity we will be searching for a new experienced member to lead the team, what are your thoughts on Tsehay Moqe?” he asked.

[Thousand Miles]

"Well, you know her better than I do, of course," Miles temporized. "But Tsehay Moqe has always set a positive example for us every time I've seen her. I'm sure she'd do a great job."

[Ultimate Frankie]

"I agree, bruv, she cares and she is good people," Frankie said setting down her cola.

[Paragon]

"I am glad you both seem to agree," he said and then added, "Do you have any questions for me?"

[Thousand Miles]

"Do we have any leads on where this blue Elite woman is now?" Miles asked. "Or, um, how to stop her once we find her location? I'm good at what I do, but this person... this monster... seemed incredibly powerful."

[Paragon]

“We are working on tracking this unknown elite, and are even investigating some unorthodox methods. Once you have all the paperwork and appropriate security clearance, I plan to bring you both in on the project. We need to prepare in case this dangerous Pantheon agent returns, between no and approximately three years from now.”

“But more details will be forthcoming.”

[Thousand Miles]

"Alright," Miles nodded, accepting Paragon's explanation at face value. "I want to do whatever I can to keep her and the Pantheon Network from ever doing something like this again."

"That's exactly why I have you on the team," he responded. "Dedication to the ultimate good, and protecting the people from the evils that exist in this world and beyond, potentially."

"You can count on me," Miles promised again. "Will Bemnet continue providing, uh, content, for our speaking appearances? Or will Tsehay Moqe be taking that over? I gather that it's important for all of us to tell the same story."

[Paragon]

“We are going to be adjusting the message, but it will be a unified message and Tsehay Moqe will set the tone for the team, along with myself. All of us will be on the same page,” Paragon said.

“Given the variety of stories from your peers we need to navigate this carefully and show leadership in this uncertain time. We may have to adjust our strategy but the Justice Elite and Elite Guard will be taking the lead on this issue.”

[Thousand Miles]

"That sounds like a good idea," Miles agreed. "Our team's message will be stronger if we can frame their stories within our own narrative. When do you want us to start making appearances? Will there be some sort of announcement of our selection?"

[Paragon]

“I don’t have a definite official announcement date, but mostly at the start of the new year. This current situation is taking precedence but it will be soon so we can get you on a circuit of talk shows, appearances, and other things for the media blitz. Plus, we need to work on your image and brand,” he said.

“But this should all be familiar to you, Thousand Miles. Just a bigger stage.”
